Text Book of the biological science for veterinary graduates. The application of the principles of animal genetics for the improvement of animals is known as the Animal Breeding. There are a number of areas of Genetics viz. Mendelian Genetics, Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics,Biochemical Genetics, Developmental Genetics and Population Genetics.It will helpful for both UG and PG students of Veterinary and Animal husbandry stream.

Dr Keshab Chandra Dhara M.V.Sc. in AGB from WBUAFS and he have been awarded Ph.D. degree by Kalyani University, West Bengal. Presently he is working as Assistant Director (Farms),WBUAFS. Dr Subhash Taraphder M.Sc. in AGB and PhD from NDRI, Karnal. Presently he is working as Associate Professor in Animal Genetics and Breeding, WBUAFS, Kolkata.
