Dr. Gokhan Hacisalihoglu (PhD, Cornell) is a Professor at Florida A&M University (FAMU) and has a deep interest in plant biology and STEM fields. He was a research fellow at Cornell U., Michigan State U., FSU, UF, and USDA. He is an often-published author (58+ articles), and the author of Level Up College Success, and Pl. Biology Lab Manual. He has 21+ years of experience teaching various university courses, from General Biology to Plant Anatomy & Development and Scientist Life Skills. He is the winner of numerous awards, including Teaching Innovation Award, twice Teacher of the Year, FAMU Research Excellent Award, Fulbright to Japan, and the National Excellence in HigherEd award. In teaching various university biology courses, he promotes the art of engaging students in STEM success and student-centered transformative learning experiences with technology integration. The authors background, teaching experience, research, attention to detail, professionalism, and writing skills make him the best person to write this book.
