The simplest definition of Bioinformatics is actually a combination of two existing areas of study: information technology and biotechnology. Basically, bioinformatics is the computational analysis and storage of biological data, In other words, bioinformatics is the combination of using applications of computer technology and applying it to the management of biological information. It combines the logic of computer science along with research and genetics of biology.

Abdelmonem Messaoudi is a PhD student in the (FST) of Tunis. He is pursuing his thesis work at the FPAB Research Unit at the (ISSBAT) of Tunis. He gained his M.S in Microbiology in 2006 and his M.S in Bioinformatics in 2005 from ENSI, (Tunisia). My research interests are in the areas of Bioinformatics, Computational biology, Proteomics, Genomics.
