The study of biology at a molecular level using biochemistry and molecular biology tools form the backbone of bio-medical sciences and play a pivotal role in the advancements of healthcare. Research and development in this field provided rapid advancements in bio-instrumentation and offer the researcher more dependable results with increased precision and accuracy that make the life of humankind better and increase animal and plant productivity. The commercial value of the scientific inventions warrants the requirement of knowledge of the intellectual propery rights (IPR) for availing the due credit. On the other hand, the researchers handling biological materials are at great risk and may be directly or indirectly involved in posing a threat to the life of others. Keeping in view of the above, this training manual entitled Biochemical and Molecular Biology Techniques for Animal Biotechnology immensely helpful to the beginners who are interested in this area of research.

Dr M Ayub Ali completed his M.Sc. from AMU and Ph.D. from MU in Biochemistry. Presently working as Associate Professor & Head of Biochemistry, CVSc & AH, Central Agricultural University, Aizawl, Mizoram. He has 21 years of UG and PG teaching experience and has published 2 books and more than 34 research papers in International and National journals
