This book investigated the influence and effectiveness of guidance and counselling on HIV/AIDS patients. This study was conducted in Pumwani Division in Nairobi and the specific site was the Pumwani Health Clinic. It sought to find out the kind of people that attended counselling sessions, described their knowledge, attitude and practice of counselling information provided on HIV/AIDS. It also described the goals of counselling that have been achieved and benefits of counselling that is provided at the Clinic.

Marygorety is a gender expert and educationist. She has B.Ed in Linguistics and Literature in English,M.A. in Gender and Development Studies from the University of Nairobi Currently she is an Assistant Lecturer at Egerton University, Institute of Gender, Women and Development Studies. She is a Ph.D candidate (Anthropology) at Moi University.
