Beschreibung
Altruistic behavior involves selfless performance of prosocial acts for the benefit of the welfare of individuals other than oneself. Evidence on altruistic behavior shows there are both intrinsic and extrinsic benefits. Human beings behave altruistically throughout every developmental stage ranging from childhood to late adulthood. While focusing on the most recently discovered developmental stage namely emerging adulthood; this book analyses the gender differences in altruistic behavior. The results reported in this book also illustrate various ways of encouraging altruistic behavior in our society especially among emerging adults.
