How would the human world look, sound and feel like if reflected on by an Amazigh linguist who has come to learn that the key to grasping the meaning of life resides in the vague but eventually crucial descriptions "exist" and "does not exist"? This book is intended to be an answer for this question. Belonging to the Amazigh ethnicity, whose culture and language have been politically marginalized for centuries, chanelled to the writer of this book the blessing of being an independent thinker who commits himself to nothing but Reason. Being a Professor of Linguistics has made him keenly (but responsibly) sensitive to Linguistic Wisdom- the complex strata of word meanings which have developed throughout the human history of natural languages. Adhering to the existentialist stance that the world becomes more transparent when interpreted in the light of existence gave him access to the perspective through which one can see the human phenomena as we experience them in our daily life prior to any rationalization.
Autorenporträt
Abdellah Elhaloui is a Professor of Linguistics at Cadi Ayyad University - Marrakech who is interested in both Linguistics and Philosophy. He wrote several books in Linguistics and Philosophy including "Introduction to Linguistics: A Moroccan perspective" (In English) and "An ontological analysis program" (in Arabic).
