Most of us watch powerlessly from the sidelines as disasters - from floods and earthquakes to terrorist attacks and plane crashes - unfold on our screens. But if you want to play a role in preparing for these events and minimising their impact, or get involved in the emergency response when they occur we need to know the rescue operations. This book gives the brief introduction of disaster management and rescue operations. One way to help resolve these problems is to give motivated conscientious people the knowledge and skills to make a difference. Dr. Ch Asha Kiran Raju obtained his Ph.D (2018) from the Department of Social Work, Andhra University, India. He obtained his Master's Degree in Social Work (M.A-Social Work-2011) from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, India. Prof. Tadi Sobha Sri is Head of the Department of Social Work Andhra University. She is 25+ years experienced in teaching.
