Orientation and Mobility book describes the nature, scope of orientation and mobility as also the orientation and mobility related responsibilities of the special teacher. Acquire basic knowledge of human guide techniques. Describe pre-cane and cane travel skills and devices. Movement with independence in the environment has been stated to be one of the major challenges of vision loss. It is necessary to provide students with visual impairment skills and techniques which enable them to cope with these challenges. It would also enable them to get insights into basic skills and components essential for meaningful orientation, easy and graceful movement for the visually impaired. Through this book the student - teachers would be in a better position to understand the implications of vision loss with reference to independent movement.

Ms. Ch Asha Jyothi obtained her M.Ed (2009) from GTP College of Education for Women, Bhimavaram, Andhra University, India. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in B.Ed-Biological Sciences & English from Nagarjuna University. She is having 07 years of Teaching and Research Experience. She is presently working for her Doctoral Degree since 2016.
