The fact that the well being of every society depends largely on the academic attainment of the children is inarguable. It is also true that the academic life of every child depends on the parental input of the child. A child schooled under the guidance of his/her parent performs better than the one devoid of parental guide. Being aware of this fact, the researcher was moved to explore the extent at which broken home affect the academic life of the child. Given to the importance of this theme (Effect of broken home to the academic performance of secondary School students) I feel duty-bound to recommend this book not only to students who are under obligation to register and pass examination in NCE, Diploma, Degree etc., But also to thoughtful and general readers, especially as it pertains more on values and the academic life of children.
