Richards and Renandya (2002) put great emphasis on the importance of strategies for acquiring new words. This book makes teachers aware of the importance of learners' personality types and motivation on the progression of their vocabulary learning strategies. It can help them to come to a deeper understanding of how to design more effective vocabulary learning tasks to better fit learners which leads to the facilitation and improvement of the learning process.
