This manuscript has been done for the preparation of the designing phase of the vertical city. The project is about the idea of building cities vertically. The Kingdom of Bahrain, as many other countries suffering from land scarcity, caused by the overpopulation. However, vertical cities are the solution in accommodating large amount of inhabitants, saving and building on much smaller lands vertically, as the sky is infinite, also saving the marine life and preventing the reclamation of land. The research explains and talks about the roots of the problems; such as suburbs, in addition to, urban spaces have tended to treat the horizontal extension of cities, with ignorance and overlooking to it as vertical extensions. Moreover, the principles, pillars, technicalities and needs in building a vertical sustainable city with the human needs within the vertical environment will be found within the context of the report.

Architect Mohie Eldin Bahaa is a fresh graduate of the year 2018 with a bachelor in architecture. He has worked in the Arab Contractors, as well as he participated in urban and architectural conferences. He wrote this book, as vertical cities can be the solution to high density.
