This book entitled Uplifting Wisdom: A Poetry Series on Philosophy, Love, Ecstasy, Longing, Faith and Identity, by Ghede Asrat is an enchanting collection of poems composed on a variety of topics ranging from education, books, morality and teaching ethics, love and brotherhood, common mans hopes and aspirations, soldiers bravery and nationalism. In this aptly titled poetry book, Mr Ghede the poet, vents out his feelings from deep within his heart to enlighten the world with his inspiring ideals of philosophy, laymens love, their occasional ecstasy, their pangs of separation, their longing for family and beloveds and also for their homeland. The Eritrean struggle for independence also inspires the poet for his literary endeavor and there are quite a few poems based on this inspiring episode of the African Nation. Soldiers bravery and their love for the motherland is an amazing section of the book which make the reader immerse oneself into the sacrificial altar of nationalism. Also, Mr Ghede himself being a teacher, his love for books, classes, and ruminations on teachers dilemmas and educators problems have been passionately presented in many sections of this book.

Mr. Ghede Asrat Hiyabu, Assistant Lecturer at College of Education, Eritrea Institute of Technology, Mai Nefhi, is currently pursuing his post graduate study in Educational Economics and Management at Central China Normal University, Wuhan, Hubei, China. He is an author, poet, motivational speaker, and translator.
