Beschreibung
Living in a traditional, male dominated world, Jasmine dislikes being owned and instructed by the men in her life. She breaks free and enjoys immense freedom as she discovers the world of power through love. She enjoys her work of looking after the single men who check into Hotel Classic in a small town of India. Slowly she finds that she can use the information she gathers from clients for profit. In a controlled economy, everything is for sale. She moves to Delhi, where she becomes a broker between the government and large business houses. The story is not only about Jasmine but also about contemporary India, where politicians are using liberalization of the economy to loot the country's natural resources. Will Jasmine be caught in this web as a power broker in the Capital?
