Everybody needs Guidance and Counseling in dealing with a variety of problems at various stages of their lives. Guidance is more important in the early years of childhood, when kids start going to school. These are the years when children shape their adult life. This period is also a transition from home to school. Environment of the school may be quite different from that of home, hence there is an importance of Guidance and Counseling at this stage. Even though the basics of guidance and counseling are generally the same in all contexts there will be a difference when it comes to specific situations. The approach and technique of guidance in dealing with children may differ from those in case of adults. This book attempts to cover a number of topics relating to procedures, processes, methods and techniques of guidance and counseling which would be helpful for teachers, counselors and students. Apart from providing a theoretical background in a simple language, the book illustrates numerous examples and discussions of real life situations.
