Introduction to Human Resource Management is intended for the introductory HRM course at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It is an attempt to provide an insight into the various elements which constitute Human Resource Management. The book offers a comprehensive and multifaceted insight into the world of human resource management. It aims at helping both HR students and practitioners not only to gain the required knowledge in HRM but also helps them in learning the current human resource techniques practiced in organisations. Using a highly readable style and a multitude of real-life examples, it is my fervent hope that the reader becomes conversant with the latest trends as well as the basics of human resource management. I have tried the materials herein out on students for many years, and thus, the book has evolved with constant feedback from my students and colleagues in academia. I hope readers find this new kind of introductory book a useful addition to the other support materials.

Dr. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, a Senior Lecturer in HRM at the Sunyani Technical University, has more than fifteen years of experience in leading research projects, teaching and learning. In 2015, he received his PhD in Human Resource Management from the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa.
