This dictionary helps readers to clarify und understand terms of financial technology in the context of digitization. What does 42 mean? What is a subchain? What is the difference between robotics and artificial intelligence? The terminology consists of originally specialist expressions which have made their way into common language, such as artificial intelligence or blockchain, but also technical terms that are necessary to understand the individual technologies, such as 42 and Nonce among others. The dictionary offers a concise and at the same time clearly presented alphabetically ordered overview with the practice-oriented answers contained therein.

Dr. Rainer Alt is a Full Professor for Application Systems at the Information Systems Institute of Leipzig University, Germany. His research focuses on interorganizational information systems, digital platforms, and methods for digital transformation. Since 2005 he has authored several publications in the fintech field. Dr. Stefan Huch holds the Digital Processes and Systems professorship at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and is Senior Director at Capgemini Invent.
