Beschreibung
The purpose of this book is to increase the understanding of reasons behind the schedule delay and the risk factors that lead to such delay. This is a research work that adopted both qualitative as well as quantitative perspectives on risk management. Through this research a systematic and holistic approach of identification, assessment and evaluation of the risk factors that contribute to the schedule delay in construction projects is established. Most of the Infrastructure projects are beyond their schedule due various reasons. The risk factors which are critically responsible for the cause of such delay needs to be identified and properly assessed. In order to deal with the complexity of real life construction project, this research has adopted an integrated approach of Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) and Bayesian Belief Network (BBN)with a SAP LAP analysis of the causes of delays in Infrastructure projects. This helps to accommodate both quantitative and qualitative data and improve upon the intuitiveness of the model. This book can be an excellent companion for all construction managers, engineers, consultants & research scholars for their further understanding.
