Today and in years to come, millions of new jobs need to be created to keep up with demographic changes and population growth in order to keep unemployment and underemployment rates at their current levels, not to talk of improving the employment situation. Many leaders understand that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the drivers for job creation. However, the challenge we face is not just the need for more jobs, we also need better quality jobs to lift people out of poverty. This book makes a case to take action on encouraging MSME development with the bid to creating more & better jobs through them using the Decent Work lens of the International Labour Organization (ILO). It is useful for anyone who would like to act on the unemployment and underemployment situation in our world. It highlights steps that can be taken to create "more & better" jobs now and in the future.
