Development is a process of positive changes. However, development among others destroy ecosystem. In such circumstances, sustainable development is a pattern of resources use in such a way that present needs can be met without destroying the ability for the future generations to meet their needs. It comprises of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Does biogas play vital role for theses sustainability? This book, therefore, provides users perspective on the role of biogas for sustainability. The work suggests existence of an essential role of biogas for sustainable development by determining its role for quality of life, protecting environment, and social & cultural development in one way or another. This work is most likely to be useful for the biogas actor, researchers, academia and policy makers. It will be useful for biogas actor to grow the sustainable sector. It will be useful for development actors for more commercialization of the sector. The work will also be useful for academia and researchers by acquiring new knowledge in the literature. Finally, the work will be useful for policy makers by providing guide map to formulate biogas-friendly policies.
