The book aims at providing the information on innate power that is present in each and every individual to resist most of the microbial infections, by tapping the information on immunity one should be able to rely on his own immunity and avoid dependence on antibiotics. Further it is very important to note that clinicians may not have full information on the causative agent, before prescribing an antibiotic the clinician many a times end up in wrong diagnosis and may prescribe antibiotics for viral diseases assuming it as bacterial, leading to antibiotic resistance among humans. Therefore the present book enlightens on different aspects of antibodies (immunity) and antibiotics. The book presents the information in an easily understandable form which is beneficial to students of science especially microbiologists, clinicians, medical personnel and pharmacists.

Dr P. K. Maheshwar completed Masters in Microbiology, Master of Philosophy & PhD in Microbiology, with more than 20 years of experience as Associate Professor and Head of the Department, he is teaching Microbiology & Immunology. He is also involved in Bacteriology and Mycological research.
