Nigeria, usually referred to as the most populated country in Africa, is experiencing a situation characterized by various forms of domestic cum internationally aided violence and chaos resulting in enormous loss of lives and properties in dangerously progressive stages particularly in her Northern Region. Due to the precarious nature of the violence, it has resulted in untimely and non-dignifying deaths of citizens; destruction of properties worth billions of Naira; displacement of thousands of people and creation of fear and insecurity within the country. This book outlines some of the issues fuelling the existence of boko haram and provides a practical framework for understanding terrorism within the Nigerian context.

MARY is a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a member of the International Law Association. She holds an LLB, BL and LLM in Law. She is currently a lecturer at Kampala International University, Uganda. She specializes in Public International Law and Intellectual Property Law.
