'The Control of the Exercise of Standard-Essential Property Rights under Competition Law' At the beginning the economic findings regarding standardisation processes are outlined. Based upon these findings, subsequently a critical analysis with regard to the current approach of the European Commission and the ECJ towards the exercise of standard-essential property rights is conducted. Both obligatory as well as de facto standards are considered. The dissertation concludes that there is a need for corrections within the approach of Commission and ECJ.

Michael Lampert studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg sowie der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. Anschließend absolvierte er ein Masterstudium an der University of Bristol. Nach dem Referendariat im Bezirk des Pfälzischen Oberlandesgerichts Zweibrücken war er von Sommer 2015 bis Frühjahr 2017 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Roland Michael Beckmann an der Universität des Saarlandes. Seit Frühjahr 2017 ist Lampert als Rechtsanwalt bei Raue LLP in Berlin tätig. Im Mai 2017 promovierte er an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
