'The Corporate Responsibility of Supervisory Boards in German Stock Corporations' Subject matter of this publication is to legally clarify the corporate responsibility of supervisory boards in German stock corporations and to describe their duties and objectives in today's corporate practice. This publication also contains an own concept of a general guiding principle under German stock corporation law. Further, it focuses on the supervisory and co-decision functions of supervisory boards, their organisation and the qualification of their members as well as further key issues in the context of the cooperation with management boards and shareholders.
Autorenporträt
Joachim Schmidt studied law at the University of Bayreuth. After his legal clerkship with stages in Frankfurt and London, he joined an international law firm in Frankfurt in 2014 as a German lawyer with a focus on banking and finance law matters. He received his doctorate from the University of Bayreuth in 2019.
