This study establishes the actual level of womens political participation in Nigeria and focuses attention on the socio-economic factors that are responsible for the political underrepresentation of women in Nigerian politics. The research follows the historical sequence of the various civilian-rule periods in Nigeria, from the First Republic to the Fourth.The socio-economic and political status of women in each Republic has been discussed contextually. The primary concern is the political status of women under different democratic administrations.

Women's Political Participation in Nigeria is a product of his Ph.D. research.He is currently a consultant on topics of gender and history.
