Computer mediated communication is on the increase all over the world. Young people who make up a large portion of the worlds population have embraced this form of communication. Since many youths are in schools/colleges/universities learning, the role that computer mediated communication plays in their academic and social life cannot be overstated. This research seeks to find role that computer mediated communication plays on students academic and social life in Nairobi Westlands district.

Mr. Thomas Wanjala Nyongesa is a high school teacher of English and Literature. His teaching career spans over ten years in various schools: Muslim Academy, Park Road (Nairobi), Light International School (Nairobi) and Kabianga High School (Kericho). He holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from The University of Nairobi (2012).
