Beschreibung
The widespread impression of inconsistency in statistical information on (continuing) vocational training is probably due in part to differences in survey constructs. This is because what is understood by (continuing) vocational training and how continuing training activities are recorded and differentiated varies greatly in the relevant surveys. This publication provides a clear overview and comparison of the survey constructs and additional differentiation features, with a particular focus on continuing vocational training. It is intended to make it easier for researchers dealing with relevant surveys to get started with the topic, to sensitise users of continuing education-related statistical information to the different measurements of continuing education behaviour and to contribute to a reflected use of data.
