Athletic performance is amalgamation of physiological capacities, mental processes and bio mechanical advantage. Over the years athletes around the world are over stretching their physical as well as technological prowess, but, at last it all comes down to their mental prowess on the deciding day. This book attempts to investigate the association of three such mental faculties, namely, cognitive, emotional and social respectively. It also evaluates athletes from team, individual and combat sports on the given attributes.

Working as Assistant Professor at Amity University, Noida. Holding a Doctorate in Physical Education and Sports Sciences from Banaras Hindu University,was a National player in Cricket. His area of interest ranges from Fitness management to talent identification and sports psychology. An active member of Society for Research in Movement Education.
