The evaluation has been used since the earliest times, and along with the pedagogical training action, several stages can be distinguished in the evolution of the evaluation techniques, especially the school efficiency. Evaluation is an integral and essential part of any educational program because it is a scientific process able to lead us to determine the extent to which the objectives previously set in the program have been achieved or not, if the decisions taken are justified or not. Evaluation or measurement process in Physical education and sport aims to measure the anthropometric parameters, to evaluate motor development, motor skills and abilities, to discover the proportionality between somatic and physiologic parameters. Consequently, without ignoring the necessity of knowing student performance as accurately as possible, the evaluation has the role of orienting the teaching and supporting its systematic regulation, of guiding and stimulating the learning activity, making them both more effective.

Associate Professor Ph.D. Pomohaci Marcel has more than 20 years of teaching and evaluating in Physical education, sport and volleyball in higher education at "Lucian Blaga" University from Sibiu. Senior Lecturer Ph.D. Sopa Ioan Sabin has experience regarding volleyball training and also Physical education and sport in higher education.
