Incidents of trade secret theft through corporate espionage are increasing exponentially in the global commercial market including the Indian market. There is little or no awareness in the Indian corporate sector regarding the modern techniques of trade secret theft. Also, there is a lack of effective legal mechanism on the international level and in India to curb the threat of corporate espionage due to its sudden rise and modern operative techniques. There is a paucity of published and well-researched works on trade secret theft and corporate espionage. This book will be of prime importance for the corporate sector, business owners, lawyers, economists and policy makers in general. The findings will also have implications for the design of enforcement systems under other international arrangements. It is sincerely hoped that this book will be useful to students, researchers, academicians and members of the legal fraternity.
