At present, all banks are facing a large number of risks such as credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, market risk, and others risks which may threaten the survival and success of the bank. Risk management is a cornerstone of prudent banking practice. For this reason, efficient risk management with its appropriate techniques are absolutely required. The book focuses on the banking industry in Ethiopia. The study deals with the assessment of risk management techniques in Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Mekelle district, by raising two main issues. It investigates the type of risk/s/ the bank is exposed to and how the bank is dealing with it/them. Based on the research findings, the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia changed its staff dramatically. This book is a significant and helpful information source for undergraduate and postgraduate students who conduct research on risk management in the banking industry.

Abebe Tilahun Kassaye got a Bachelor of Business Education, major in Banking and Insurance in 2007. Joined Mekelle University as Assistant Lecturer. Completed successfully Masters of Business Administration specializing in Finance in May 2010. Has been working as Assistant Professor at Mekelle University since 2015.
