Apart from different approaches specilized on the correlation between corporate governance and financial managementthe these aspects, this book presents in detail modern theories on corporate governance in the light of control mechanisms that are specific to the shareholders and managers relationships; the control becomes effective at the level of the tripartite relationship between institutional and private investor-creditor-manager as well.Authors are keen to highlight the key elements of corporate governance system at firm level, with a deep focus on structure and control of ownership, shareholder rights, concentration degree relative to board and management, disclosure and auditing standards as well as responsibility towards the stakeholders.Another key element of the book is represented by empirical findings on the contribution of corporate governance adequacy to the company financial performance. Our research brings forth the idea that an adequate corporate governance system implemented at the level of the global corporate governance system due to the chain transmission mechanism of the beneficial effects impacts positively the macroeconomic environment.
