Anyone working in the dental industry would recognise the importance of having studies published in scientific magazines. However, most magazines require at least the abstract of the article to be translated into English. Commissioning such short translations as the ones required for abstracts to the few professional translators working in the field of dentistry is incredibly expensive. This book presents a DIY way to translate scientific abstracts in the field of dental, oral and maxillofacial surgery into English without the need to have neither extensive knowledge of English nor in depth knowledge of translation. This book describes step by step the making of a translation memory that will allow anyone to translate scientific abstracts in a rather simple and intuitive way, and best of all, for free. This book will prove itself useful for both doctors and sponsoring companies involved in scientific studies, as well as for translators who are not yet specialised in this area, or even for students of medicine who need to write essays in English.
