The Main theme of this book is " Bio degradation of Polyamide Based plastic". This book is basically an author's dissertation work of Ph. D. in Environmental Science. thus, it provides an idea about isolation of polyamide based plastic degrading microorganisms and bio degradation study of plastic. Plastic pollution became the major problem in society. we need to study the nature's potential for the bio degradation of plastic as, nature is rich in such a micro flora which is able to degrade plastic. polyamide based plastic is a type of plastic which contains both Carbon and Nitrogen Which can act as a food source for bacteria. This becomes the base for the bio degradation of plastic. This book covers the isolation of polyamide based plastic (Nylon 6 and Nylon 6, 6 ) degrading microorganisms from plastic contaminated area and study of different selected microbes for bio degradation of polyamide based plastic. This book will be more helpful for the researcher who works in plastic degradation and for plastic waste management of society.

Dr. Sonal Goroba Chonde completed her Ph. D. in Environmental Science under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) P. D. Raut in 2013 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur. She is having 5 years of PG teaching experience and 8 years research experience in field of Environmental Chemistry . Currently she is working as UGC Women PDF in Shivaji University Kolhapur.
