This book will be useful to students of Aquaculture at both secondary and tertiary level. It will help to promote Aquaculture as an enterprise. I recommend it for both students and fish farmers. The need for fish farming as an Agro venture can not be overemphasized in Nigeria. Mostly at this period when there is unemployment with many Nigerian graduates seeking for job. This book will lead the prospective farmers to create employment for themselves.

Prof. V. A. Okonji is a Professor of Fisheries. He obtained B. Agric(Fisheries), M.Sc(Fisheries) and Ph.D (Fisheries) from University of Benin in 1992, !997 and 2005 respectively. He specialized in Aquaculture and has been Lecturing in University of Benin since 1994. He is married, with a son.
