Improving reading skills though authentic material in ESP gives teachers, tutors, professors and trainers a tool to use authentic material in electricity courses, hence that the English for specific purpose (ESP) plays a relevant role in the professional life or in the workplace according to the needs and goals that each people have. Also, the author expects to show the reading skills with authentic material; thats why there are five workshops which are designed taking into account some reading strategies: previewing, skimming, scanning between others.

I have worked as a teacher educator in different public schools. Currently, I work at National Service Learning (SENA) in Colombia as an English instructor in different technologies as welding, electricity among others. I have a Master in Applied Linguistics: Teaching English to speakers of other Languages.
