This book, a collection of the author's academic articles which he has prepared and written approximately six years, discusses higher education and happiness from the perspectives of the Eastern and the Western religions. The book has two main topics, higher education and happiness. The former, as the best effective means for developing manpower, has taken on the major functions to product human and intelligent capital for enhancing the individual's quality of life, social welfare, and national competitiveness, while the latter, as the ultimate goal of life, has been regarded as the highest value and goodness. Both main topics are reviewed by different subjects from religiously cross-cultural perspectives. The author hopes this book will provide global readers with valuable information and useful knowledge by which they are enabled to understand higher education and happiness from the perspectives of the eastern and the western religions.
