Phephani Gumbi has 18 years experience in academia and is a doctor of philosophy. He is currently a lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a leading research-driven University in South Africa. His research interests are broad in the field of socio-linguistics, social justice, with a particular focus on language planning and policy development.
