Autorenporträt

Dr Firdaus Muhammad-Sukki received his M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, U.K., in 2006. He then worked as a Telecommunication Engineer with Telekom Malaysia for two years before joining Multimedia University, Malaysia, as a Lecturer in 2008. In 2009, he was awarded a studentship from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), the Scottish Funding Council (SFC), and Yayasan TM to pursue his Ph.D. degree at GCU, U.K. He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment, Edinburgh Napier University, U.K. His research expertise spans solar concentrator technologies, solar energy systems, renewable energy policy, and sustainability. His interdisciplinary work also includes market trend analysis and financial evaluations of renewable energy technologies across different global contexts. Dr Muhammad-Sukki has successfully led multiple research projects funded by organisations such as Innovate UK, the Scottish Institute for Remanufacturing (SIR), the Scottish Funding Council, the British Council, and the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. He has published widely in prestigious journals including Nature, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, and Applied Energy, and has presented at numerous international conferences. He also serves as a Guest Editor for journals published by major publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, and MDPI. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), and an Associate of the City and Guilds of London Institute (ACGI). Dr Nazmi Sellami holds an MEng in Mechanics of Energy and a PhD in Solar Energy. He is a leading expert in renewable energy systems, with a particular focus on solar photovoltaic technologies, thermal engineering, and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) aesthetics, where he is advancing research on the seamless integration of solar technologies into architectural design. He is currently an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment, Edinburgh Napier University, U.K. In addition to his academic and research contributions, Dr Sellami serves as Conference Chair of the Annual Solar and Wind Power Conference, that highlights technological innovations and advances in hybrid solar-wind energy systems.
