An effective energy policy should encourage the different enterprises, utility companies and individuals to utilize energy efficiently and in more environmental friendly processes, technologies, and materials. The study provides a comprehensive efficiency analysis of specific applications of steam power plants in Iran to apply strategies to the component stakeholders for doing policy implication. Hence, policymakers in Iran must be aware of the relationship between economic and environmental issues and available tradeoffs to offer policy initiatives which can increase efficiency and improve equity.

This is Foroogh who has completed PhD in Environmental Economics with major of two-stage efficiency analyses of power generation utilities at University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia. My interests lie at the intersection projects of energy analysis, economic modeling and climate change and econometric analysis.
