Beschreibung

In this research, an attempt has been pretended to dissect the energy resources condition of Pakistan to investigate the potential of non-conventional resources and conventional resources of Pakistan in terms of their availability, generation capacity, and utilization. Pakistan has been suffering an energy shortfall for the last two decades and it was reported to be as high as 4000 MW. This has caused serious problems almost in every sector and has shown a negative impact on the industrial sector. Presently, the major proportion of energy requirements is being produced utilizing fossil fuels. In the present work in-depth study was conducted to analyze the energy resources available in the country there share in the energy mix with a focus to identify the potential of alternative fuels particularly renewable energy resources. It was observed that at the moment the available renewable energy resources are very much underutilized and there is a need to consider energy stratagem for the expansion of non-conventional resources plants. This will play a significant role in the sustainable growth of the nation.
