This book discusses the importance of collaborative networks in supporting sustainable development in different sectors. It analyses different examples of collaborative frameworks that have been leveraged to foster growth and competitiveness in different sectors (e.g. agriculture) or regions (e.g. rural regions, low density territories). Further, it examines the combined role of entrepreneurship, innovation policies, and communication strategies to foster inclusive and green development, social participation and/or digitalization. All in all, this book offers a coherent picture of how multidisciplinary engineering innovative practices can accelerate digital and circular transition in urban and sectoral contexts.
