A different perspective to compensate motion analysis error due to soft tissue artifact in lower extremities. The key idea is to identify the displacement of anatomical landmarks relative to local coordinate frame defined by skin markers in a pre-specified motions and build a regression model between the two displacements of anatomical landmarks and skin markers relative to local coordinate frame. The performance of the method was compared with the related previous methods.
