This book gathers cutting-edge research and best practices relating to occupational and environmental safety and health, including risk assessment methods and management strategies, reporting on a set of case studies carried out in different companies, countries and on different population groups, such as workers, seniors, and children. Chapters are based on selected contributions to the International Symposium on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (SHO 2025), held on April 14-15, 2025, in Porto, Portugal. By analyzing different perspectives, such as the ones from managers, employees, and OSH professionals, and covering timely issues, this book offers extensive information and a source of inspiration to OSH researchers, practitioners, and organizations operating in both local and global contexts.
