Beschreibung

Requirement of a biolubricant is needed as the oil reserves are depleting, and whats left of it cause environmental hazards to both humans and animal life. Industry looks into vegetable oil to be a lubricant substitute. One of the factor in main consideration is to avoid fuel- food crisis. Rubber seed oil, with its inherent toxicity is proved to be the base oil. The book covers the Physico-Chemical properties of the oil and how to improve certain inherent lubricant properties of the oil such as viscosity, anti- oxidative property, thermal and tribological characters. This work now provides an insight into converting vegetable oils to biolubricants and the specificity required in choosing the base oil. The book should enlighten future researches on Rubber seed oil, and how additives should also be green additives. Furthermore, the work could suggest Rubber seed oil bio-lubricant as an alternate to the commercial mineral oil lubricants.
