Nanomaterials attract great deal of interest owing to its potential applications in almost every field of our life. Preparation of nanomaterials with specific structural characteristics is one of the important tasks to the scientists to effectively utilize them in particular application. Size and shape dependent properties of nanomaterials are the keys to achieve an efficient performance. In this book, varieties of synthesis techniques including the state-of-the-art plasma-mediated routes are discussed to prepare metal oxide nanomaterials. At the same time, nanomaterials towards societal applications such as photo-catalysis, Carbon monoxide oxidation catalysis and antibacterial studies are also discussed. This book would be useful to the researchers and students who are interested in learning nanomaterials, properties, preparation methodologies, characterization techniques and using them for practical purposes.

Dr. Antony Ananth received Ph.D. from Jeju National University (JNU),Republic of Korea. He works in the preparation of nanomaterials using variety of techniques and to probe the shape dependent properties in energy and environment de-contamination applications. Prof.Dr.Y.S.Mok works in JNU and a recipient of several awards in Chemical Engineering.
