This book explains how concrete arch dams can be assessed under earthquake loading. It gives literature review on possible failure modes, numerical modelling of concrete arches under earthquake loading. The book illustrates how an existing concrete arch dam in Sri Lanka is assessed under earthquake loading. It is suitable as a text book for undergraduate students for structural dynamics and Master level research students in Structural Engineering.

Dr. P. A. K. Karunananda obtained his DEng. Degree from Ehime University, Japan and currently at the Open University of Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer. Shobitha Tharmarajah obtained her Master of Engineering Degree from University of West of England and currently employed as a Lecturer (Probationary) at University College of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
