The study of centrifugal pumps is very useful in the mechanical engineering. 90% of industries use these pumps and its a vital organ, therefore its quite necessary to build a bigger knowledge in this domain, especially to know the way they work and how its essential to develop experience in these machines. The main concern in the industry is the way of fixing pumps problems. Most of the pumps have common troubleshooting, especially bearings, impeller and coupling. So its important to examine all aspects of pumps, in order to prevent damages that can occur and to have a straight line of production without taking a lot of time in maintenance.

Dr. Driss is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS). He received his Engineering Diploma in 2001, his Master Degree in 2003, his PhD in 2008 and his HDR in 2013 in Mechanical Engineering from ENIS at University of Sfax, Tunisia.
