Beschreibung

This book systematically introduces design and fabrication of physical models for wind tunnel tests based on additive manufacturing technology, including model design technology, model fabrication process, strengthening technology, etc. On this basis, it introduces in detail the specific implementation process of commonly used models, e.g., force measurement models, pressure measurement models, elastic models, and flutter models. This book mainly provides references for researchers and engineers who are engaged in aircraft design, experimental fluid mechanics, and additive manufacturing technology research.

Autorenporträt

Dr. Weijun Zhu was born in Huozhou, China, in 1983. He received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Xian Jiaotong University, 2013. He is now an associate professor at School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Beihang University, Beijing, China. His current research interest is 3D printing technologies (additive manufacturing) for high performance polymers and polymer-based composites with multiple functions including mechanics, electromagnetics, sensor/actuation, etc. Professor Dichen Li was born in July 1964. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1993 at Xian Jiaotong University. Now Dr. Li serves as the Changjiang professor and the director of the State Key Lab for Manufacturing System Engineering at Xian Jiaotong University, China. He is interested in combining fabrication and biotechnology, and his main research scope covers forming of ceramic parts, direct metal forming, and biofabrication using rapid prototyping & manufacturing (RP&M) technology.
