Friction welding has been developed in the last decades and applied to joint similar and dissimalar metals for various applications. Despite the progress, friction welding parameters are determined experimentally. Friction welding machines are expensive. The book shows that it is possible to develop machine from conventional machines, using local resources, to give acceptable joints. This is useful not only for experimental works but also for production in small quantities or for job workshop. the devolpment of the machine is helpful for workshops, especially in the underdeveloped countries where the financial resources are limited
